About the Practice
This practice provides EMDR-focused therapy for adults, couples and families who want to work through distressing experiences in a structured, trauma-informed way.
The approach is grounded in the understanding that people do not simply “move on” from experiences that have overwhelmed their capacity to cope. Trauma, attachment disruption, grief, relational injury and chronic stress can continue to influence emotions, body responses, self-beliefs and relationships long after the original events have passed.
Therapy is collaborative and paced. Before EMDR processing begins, time is spent understanding your history, current concerns, strengths, supports, risk factors and goals. Preparation may include grounding, stabilisation, emotional regulation and building a clearer understanding of your internal responses.
The work is respectful, practical and relational. It is not about forcing disclosure or rushing into painful material. It is about creating enough safety and structure for meaningful processing to occur.
Professional Positioning
Isaac Bailey is an EMDR-trained and registered counsellor providing therapy for adults, couples and families. My work focuses on relationships, emotional distress, trauma and the ways unresolved experiences can continue to shape present-day life.
I offer in-person sessions and online appointments where clinically appropriate.
Values
The practice is guided by trauma-informed care, respect, emotional safety, cultural humility, relational accountability and client choice. Therapy is adapted to the person, couple or family in front of me rather than delivered as a one-size-fits-all process.
